Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain Study (Coming Soon)

A multiple-dose study to assess the efficacy and safety of a medical cannabis aerosol product as an add-on treatment for diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain

The study will involve a total of 15 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, Ontario) and 6 remote phone calls over approximately 22 weeks. Reimbursement of up to $1000*.

We are currently recruiting for a double-blind, randomized, multiple-dose study to investigate the use of a fixed dose device inhaler containing aerosol medical cannabis in individuals 18-75 years of age, diagnosed with Type I or Type II Diabetes and Painful Diabetic Neuropathy.

Only a limited amount of spots available.

You may be eligible if you are:

Between 18 to 75 years old

Have a BMI between 18 to 40 kg/m2

Diagnosed with Type I or Type II Diabetes

Diagnosed with painful peripheral diabetic neuropathy

NOT a current Cannabis user

Participation will include:

Use of a THC (or placebo) inhaler device for 15 weeks
Multiple blood draws
Completion of electronic study diary
15 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, ON)
6 remote phone calls
