A Randomized, Open-label, 2-Period Crossover Study in Healthy Participants to Compare the Single Dose Pharmacokinetics of Two Kava Root Products
The study will involve a total of 5 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, Ontario) over a 3-8 week period. If you complete the study in its entirety, compensation will be $1,200 for your time and travel to the clinic.
The purpose of this study is to compare the absorption, metabolism, and safety of single doses of two different kava root products
Only a limited amount of spots available.
You may be eligible if you are:
Between 21 to 55 years old
In good general health
Have a BMI between 18.5 to 29.9 kg/m2 and weigh at least 110 lbs
Willing to follow all restrictions throughout the study
Not taking prescription medications (except hormonal birth control)
Kava Root Comparator Study
Participation will include:- 5 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, ON) over a 3-8 week period
- Oral consumption of liquid study product
- Multiple blood draws
- Fasting prior to 2 in-clinic visits
- 2 visits up to 14 hours
