Post-Exercise Soreness Study

A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Study to Evaluate the Safety and Tolerability of Product Formulations Containing Mitragynine on Exercise-Induced Muscle Soreness in Healthy Adults Who Are 18 to 55 Years of Age

The study will involve a total of 7 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, Ontario) and 1 remote electronic questionnaire over an 11.5 week period. If you complete the study in its entirety, compensation will be $1,350 for your time and travel to the clinic.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of two test products on exercise-induced muscle soreness, muscle strength, and reducing joint stiffness after intense exercise compared to each other and a placebo.

Only a limited amount of spots available.

You may be eligible if you are:

Between 18 to 55 years old

In good general health

Have a BMI between 18.5 to 34.9 kg/m² (inclusive)

Not a habitual nicotine user

Not taking prescription medications (except for hormonal birth control)

Participation will include:

7 visits to our clinic (located in Guelph, ON) + 1 remote electronic questionnaire
Oral consumption of study product (capsule formulation)
Daily diary completion
Exercise challenges
Multiple blood draws

Compensating up to $1350
